Controller and contact
Pawaily LLC is the controller for personal information processed through the Pawaily app and associated web pages. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@pawaily.com.
Information we collect
When you create or use an app account, we collect your email address, authentication information, and account identifiers. If you choose Apple or Google sign-in, the relevant provider also processes information under its own privacy notice.
We collect the pet-profile and app information you provide or create, such as a pet’s name, breed, life stage, optional birth details, optional pet profile photo, onboarding goals, and progress through sessions and activities. If you use tracking tools, we collect the records you choose to log, including walks, meals, potty accidents, and training moments, with their dates, optional measurements and notes. We use this information to operate and personalize the service.
If you choose to enable reminders, we collect the optional notification permission and push token needed to send notifications about new sessions or activities. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
We also collect information about app and website use, including device and app information, interactions with the service, and diagnostic information. The website and blog email signup forms, including the waitlist and tool-access forms, collect your email address when submitted. These forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect against automated abuse.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; provide app features, personalized guidance, and reminders; manage email signup requests, send early-access and availability updates, and provide tool access; respond to support requests; understand and improve the service; detect and address security issues; and comply with law.
AI-assisted recommendations
Pawaily uses information from your dog’s profile and preferences for AI-assisted recommendations of existing learning sessions. When you request new sessions, we send OpenRouter and the AI service handling the request your dog’s name, breed, age or birth details, profile notes, selected topics, starting point, and recent learning history and feedback, including feedback notes. This information helps select suitable content from Pawaily’s published sessions. We do not include your account email address or sign-in token in this recommendation request. Notes may contain personal information you enter, so please avoid including sensitive information about yourself or other people.
Security
We use safeguards designed to protect personal information, including secure on-device storage for app session tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Service providers and third parties
We use Amazon Web Services, including Amazon Cognito, to help provide authentication and app infrastructure. We use PostHog to measure product use and Sentry to receive crash and error reports. Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare Turnstile provide website analytics and form-verification services. Apple, Google, and device-platform notification services process information when you use their storefronts, sign-in options, or notification delivery. These providers process information to provide services to us or to you under their own applicable terms and privacy notices.
OpenRouter and the AI service handling a recommendation request process the information described above to return session recommendations. Their handling of request data depends on the applicable service terms and provider settings.
Account deletion
You can request deletion of your Pawaily account from account settings in the app. If you cannot access the app, email support@pawaily.com from the email address associated with your account and ask to delete your account. Our account deletion request page explains this route for people without the app. We may need to verify your request. Deletion is subject to information we must retain where law allows or requires.
Retention and your choices
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may update certain app information in the app, control notification permissions through your device settings, and contact support@pawaily.com to ask about access to or correction of your personal information. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where law allows or requires.
